You’ve heard his name. You can’t spend half a minute on any social media platform without running into his face, his words, his actions. He claims to be on a mission to speak for the voiceless. But what happens when the voiceless lose their last drop of power in the quest for his so-called justice?
His name is Very Dark Man.

It should be no surprise that “dark” sits boldly in his name. At first glance, it might look like a playful nickname tied to his complexion, but the reality runs deeper. His soul is dark. His mind is dark. His methods—brutal. No one is safe. No one is spared. Except, of course, for his carefully protected “messiah” image. That image must survive at all costs, even if the very voiceless victims he claims to defend are trampled in the process.
He started out as a beacon of hope. Fresh. Fearless. Daring to say what no one else would say against oppressors. People saw him as a breath of fresh air. They had faith. They trusted him. But little did we know—the man who challenged oppressors would soon become one himself. His word is law. His opinion unquestionable. His methods unquestioned. His way—or no way.
Even victims are not safe. A single objection can make you the next target of public humiliation, even in your own fight for justice.
You either cooperate, or face the wrath of his loyal ratels—followers who stop at nothing to defend the fragile ego of their manipulative master. They seem spellbound. To them, no one else compares to their Ratel Presido. He is their Lord and Savior. Their Alpha and Omega. The righteous one who never does wrong.
But dare to disagree, and you instantly become the enemy. His ratels will swarm to attack. You’d expect such blind loyalty to be backed by real credentials, but a simple Google search reveals the truth—no major recognition, no societal contributions, no lasting impact. Yet, every day, he positions himself before ring lights, loudly proclaiming “justice.” Justice that never arrives. Justice that remains unseen.
And woe to the public figure who tries to help a victim without first falling in line behind him. Your career, your reputation, your legacy—become his next target. He will ridicule you before your fans, because in his eyes, no one else has the right to shine brighter. He must remain the master player. The one and only mini-god of the Nigerian social media space. His Ratel Movement—the self-appointed “fourth arm of government.”
Beware the venom of Very Dark Man. Your pain, your case, your cries for help—all risk becoming nothing more than content for his endless performance. Every time he speaks about your suffering, his bank account grows.
But guess what doesn’t?
Your situation stays the same. Because truth be told, he has never secured meaningful justice for anyone. Records don’t lie!
So, dear reader—Think twice before stepping into VDM arena of compromise. At the end of the day, nothing— not even your tragic circumstance—can come in the way of his carefully polished messiah image.
You made it to the end. Thanks for reading. Catch me again on another edition of #UnfilteredWithAda.
